The good folks at the Jaguar E-Type Club are in the middle of their annual fundraiser ‘Round Britain Coastal Drive’ which raises awareness of Prostate Cancer as well as funding for research and they had a stop off at a location we know well; the Savoy Park in Ayr!
Ayrshire Classics Car Club sent roving reporter George Frame over to have a chat and a drool over the assembled classics and grabbed a chat with award winning author, E-Type aficionado and national treasure of the classic world, Philip Porter ! (You might have a ‘PorterPress’ book in your house somewhere)
Prostate cancer affects one in eight men, with someone dying every day from the disease, so it is vital that more people know of the dangers. The inaugural RBCD raised £62,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, smashing the target of £50,000. The second event in June 2017 (for Jaguar XKs) raised over £70,000 ad the target for September this year will be £70,000.
