It’s earlier this year!
We know a few of you count modelling amongst your hobbies (no, not the clotheshorse type!) so we thought it would be worth highlighting that the Model Rail Scotland 2019 exhibition at the SECC Glasgow has changed its dates this year due to the event space being booked out on the traditional weekend.
It now falls on the Fri, Sat, Sun of February 22nd – 24th.
This is the same weekend as the Race Retro event in Stoneleigh so those who fancy both will have a choice to make or a busy weekend travelling to catch both!
As always, you can find details of both events by clicking on the names above and they are already on our club event diary.
We will update the Club Events Diary once the SVVF & Morgans publish this years show guides. This is a rather manual task and if anyone fancies assisting, please let Orest or Tony know via the committee who you can email by clicking HERE.
If there are any events you know of and want to see on our diary, please use the above link to send the details to the committee who will ensure we add them.
Finally, a quick recap on Francis’s New Year message:
- For family reasons, Brian has stepped down from the committee as the co-ordinator of static events and leader of the Cars on the Campus marshalling team.
Volunteers are sought for both or either job.
- George Frame tells us that the Men’s Club of Kingcase Parish Church (are men’s clubs still allowed?) will be hosting a talk on The History of VW cars by Dennis Rattenbury at 19:30 on 7th Jan, 2019 and we are invited to attend.
Beyond that, our next Club Event is the ACCC New Year Dinner on Friday, 11 January⋅7:00 – 11:30pm at the Savoy Park Hotel, 16 Racecourse Rd, Ayr KA7 2UT, UK
See you there!
