Thursday saw a very interesting monthly club meeting.
50 members and 34 vehicles attended our monthly meeting (some of us ventured out in our classics!) and were treated to brilliant presentation on the Craufurdland Estate History by Simon D Houison Craufurd which shed light on this local gem and how it is intertwined with our local and national history as well as some family tales and of course the cars that the family have owned and enjoyed over the years.
Our thanks go to Simon for his presentation and sharing his time with us and to Stu for arranging yet another great talk for us.
If your appetite to visit has been whetted and you didn’t pick up a brochure on the evening, you can learn more by visiting their website by clicking ‘HERE’ or emailing Simon with your queries by clicking ‘HERE’.
Brian gave us all an update on the upcoming static events and was inviting names for these. If you didn’t put your name on the sheet, you can still register and book your place by clicking ‘HERE’ for the booking page.
One of our members mentioned that StennaLine were running a discounted offer for any interested Car Clubs / Members who wished to travel to Northern Ireland and tour the island before heading home again from a rather good £29 per vehicle.
The dates for these discounted trips are Saturday 22nd of June & Saturday 29th of June with the route taking you up the Causeway Coast to marvel at the Giant’s Causeway before heading towards the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge.
Finally, you will drive down to the Dark Hedges and head back to the ferry.
We won’t be running an ‘official’ club trip on this but if members wish to take advantage of this offer, they can find more details by clicking ‘HERE’
See you on the 30th of June for ‘Ayrshire Classics @ The Burns Museum’ !
