BVAC CLASSIC – FESTIVAL OF MOTORING
BACK AGAIN 2ND JUNE 2019
The BVAC Classic – Festival of motoring will take place at Thirlestane Castle in Lauder on Sunday 3rd June. This prestigious event has previously been described as the “The best classic car festival in Scotland” by the Sunday Times.
The 2018 event promises to be the biggest and best yet with 1,400 veteran, vintage and classic vehicles making the journey to take part.
One of the finest motor cars in the world, a stunning 1922 Grand Sports Delage affectionately known as ‘Napoleon’ will form the centre piece of the show along with some other truly world class cars.
Now in its 46th year, there is something for everyone to admire with much loved veteran to 1990’s cars, motorcycles and commercial, steam, military, agricultural and American classes of vehicle on display as well as a Family Car Through the Ages theme.
There will also be a celebration of Land Rover, Lotus and 2CV who all have anniversary years in 2018 as well as Gorgeous Italian classics with a special Concorso Italiano display.
It’s a fabulous family day out with further entertainment, live music and a shopping and food village.
The event also supports Sporting Bears who will be raising money for their chosen charity. Sporting Bears Dream Rides take visitors on a ten-mile trip through the Borders countryside in the car of their dreams, simply for a donation to the chosen charity.
Leading wealth managers Brewin Dolphin have confirmed their Partnership of the event for the next three years along with wine merchants Corney and Barrow. This support will undoubtedly help to take the event to a new level in 2018 and beyond.
More information can be found on the BVAC website. Please note the Car and Club entries and Caterers Stands are now full and no more applications are being taken for these.
