I fitted a radio cassette to my Mk3 Spitfire back in the day but it wasn’t a real ‘period correct’ device and the MGB didn’t come with one so I left it alone as I liked the look of the blanking plate.
I’ve now found a mid 60’s Motorola 114 which was a dealer option / period accessory for the ‘B’ but as well as keeping it as original as possible, I want to add the ability to plug an iPod / iPhone / MP3 player in via a 3.5mm jack.
As usual I’ve not made it easy for myself – The set is a positive earth (switchable) to match the car and I want to not only add the flylead, probably to the hot side of the volume knob, and source a period correct speaker connection.

Has anyone ever attempter this or have any tips on doing it?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tony
